BRENTWOOD, Tenn. – October 21, 2011—Worthy Publishing announces that the company has signed publishing legend Jerry B. Jenkins, best known as the writer of the Left Behind series, to a seven-figure, long-term contract. “I’ve known Byron for many years and have great respect for him,” said Jenkins. “Worthy Publishing’s unique vision and boutique approach is a perfect fit for me.” Worthy has contracted with Jenkins for 6 books.
“Jerry Jenkins is remarkable for many reasons, one of which is that he recognizes the value in putting down roots and working closely with a publisher so that together the team can support each book to the utmost,” said Byron Williamson, president of Worthy Publishing. “We are proud to have him on our roster for years to come.”
Jenkins’ first novel with Worthy Publishing will debut in 2013.
Jenkins is chairman of the board of trustees for the Moody Bible Institute and a New York Times best-selling author in both fiction and non-fiction categories. His non-fiction work includes as-told-to autobiographies for luminaries such as Hank Aaron, Nolan Ryan, and Orel Hershiser, and he assisted with Billy Graham’s memoir.
