Worthy Inspired to Publish New Book That Explores Conversations Inspired by Rich Mullins

It may be impossible to measure the influence of someone as legendary as Rich Mullins, but noting the number of people who have profound reflections and memories of this passionate purveyor of the Gospel is a good place to start. Rich had a raw and ragged faith, and the transparency with which he communicated that faith touched the hearts of not only his fellow artists and colleagues, but also millions of Christians and seekers who have encountered his music. Rich’s ragamuffin style seems to speak to the imperfect believer in all of us.

Worthy Inspired is pleased to announce the forthcoming release of Winds of Heaven, Stuff of Earth (9781683970408). More than a tribute to his music or a biography about Rich, the book invites readers to re-engage with the questions and conversations Rich began more than twenty years ago. “No matter the topic, no matter the person,” writes author Andrew Greer, “Rich’s words, spoken and sung decades ago, prompted conversations within our churches, our communities, and our relationships with one another that are still so obviously relevant today.”

Greer pens his own reflections on Rich’s profound writing and offers interviews with Rich’s closest colleagues and friends, including Randy Cox who was instrumental in Rich’s early career, to showcase the wisdom of a man who unashamedly declared his deep desire to know and be known by God.

Releasing before the twentieth anniversary of Rich’s death, the book also includes lyrics to previously unreleased Rich Mullins songs, as well as pictures, reflections, and Q&As from a who’s who of inspirational voices, including:

  • Amy Grant
  • Andrew Peterson
  • Ashley Cleveland
